ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Steve Nash, Shooting guard Jason Richardson, Small forward Grant Hill, Power forward Amar'e Stoudemire, Center Channing Frye. Bench -- Forward Louis Amundson, Forward Jared Dudley, Guard Goran Dragic, Center Robin Lopez, Forward Earl Clark, Center Jarron Collins, Forward Alando Tucker. PLAYER NOTES: --G Goran Dragic had his poorest game of the season, missing all six of his shots from the field, including all five 3-point tries, against the Knicks. Dragic had three turnovers and committed four fouls in his 24 minutes on the floor.
--F Alando Tucker is back in uniform with the injury to Leandro Barbosa opening a spot on the roster. Tucker played the entire fourth quarter of the blowout loss but made the most of it with 14 points on 4-for-7 shooting and three offensive rebounds. It's not likely to move him up into Coach Alvin Gentry's reputation, but it was a good time to showcase his skills.
--G Jason Richardson came into New York red hot and the Suns needed him to continue producing from the shooting guard spot after losing Leandro Barbosa to injury. Richardson managed 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting, but the Suns were outscored by 30 points in his 27 minutes on the floor and the rebounds (three) were also missing.
--C Robin Lopez continues to look good in just this third game after foot surgery cost him the first 14 games. Playing in garbage time in the fourth quarter Lopez hit all three of his shots and finished with seven points and five rebounds in 12 minutes.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Leandro Barbosa will miss 2-4 weeks after spraining his left ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's win in Toronto. Barbosa historically needs every bit of the long end of his timetables to return from injuries, so don't look for him to return much before Christmas.
