Phoenix Suns Notes, Quotes 2009-01-07
--G Jason Richardson was charged Dec. 21 with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to drive in one lane, it was reported Monday. A date for hearing hasn't been set.

--The Suns played only their fourth game within the Pacific Division Friday. They are now 2-2, with both losses coming to the Lakers.

--Phoenix held the Clippers to 15 points in the first quarter, a season low for a Suns opponent.

--The Suns are now 8-3 since their four-game losing streak and they are 6-2 since Jason Richardson joined the team -- including the buzzer-beating loss to the Spurs on Christmas Day.

--The Suns reached 100 points for the 10th time in the last 11 games and are 10-2 when they hold their opponents to double-digits.

--Phoenix is 6-1 at home since starting the season 4-5. They play four of the next six games at home

--The Suns recalled swingman Alando Tucker from Iowa of the NBADL on Friday. He appeared in two games for the Energy this week before returning to Phoenix. He dressed for Friday's game, while guard Dee Brown was inactive.

--Marcus Camby of the Clippers had 23 rebounds, the most against the Suns since Dikembe Mutombo had 25 for Atlanta on Feb. 18, 2000 in Phoenix. Camby finished with 19 points, barely missing the first 20-20 game against the Suns since Clipper Chris Kaman -- who missed Friday's game because of injury -- turned the trick on Dec. 28, 2007.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We started great, then we lost the last three quarters. We just really thought they were going to fold their tents after that. We lost our focus. We just have to do a better job of putting the pedal to the metal, and close those games out. We have other guys who work their butts off during practice, and try to get an opportunity to get playing time." -- Suns coach Terry Porter.
