Phoenix Suns Notes, Quotes 2009-12-08

Phoenix Suns Notes, Quotes 2009-12-08--After a 14-3 start, the Suns are 1-3 over the last four games and have scored less than 100 points in each loss -- including a season-low 88 points Sunday. The losses have come by an average of 21.3 points.

--Five of Phoenix's six losses this season have been by at least 17 points, including two losses to the Lakers in Los Angeles.

--The Suns are 1-4 in the second game of back-to-back this season, including two losses to the Lakers and one each to Orlando and Cleveland.

--Phoenix's mini-shooting slump continued against the Lakers, the league leaders in field-goal percentage allowed. The Suns shot 45 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the arc and didn't score more than 22 points after the first quarter. They are now shooting 43.5 percent over this 1-3 dip, although they still lead the league in field goal percentage

--The Lakers now hold an incredible 82-27 edge in the 109-game, regular-season series between the two teams.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We're on the road a lot, and it's tough. We're kind of tired of it, but we'll make up for it in January, February, March. We're going through a tough period right now with our schedule, but we've just got to weather it. I don't want to make an excuse out of it, but we'd like to give it our best shot. More than one home game at a time would be nice." -- Suns forward Grant Hill.
